Porsche Panamera (13 - Present)
The Porsche Panamera was released in 2010 to mixed reviews, technically it was superb but many thought it wasn’t very attractive, with odd lines and a bulbous shape. Porsche introduced a facelifted version in 2013 with exceptionally subtle tweaks to the front and rear bumpers and some updated lights, front and back. They also introduced some new engines – a twin-turbo petrol powered V6 and an all new hybrid. The hybrid will achieve some astonishing fuel economy figures of up to 90 miles per gallon and will sprint to 100kph in just 5.2 seconds. The big seller here in Europe is of course the diesel. The 3 litre V6 has been upgraded to 296bhp and an astonishing 650 newton metres of torque, resulting in a quiet, quick and very comfortable package. Some purists may bemoan the fact that there is no manual option on the updated Panamera but in truth the automatics suit this big sporty cruiser perfectly. As before, the interior is of the highest quality and everything feels like it will last a lifetime.
